Railway Recruitment Board and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) both work with Indian Railways and their main work is to recruit the candidates for the Indian Railways. RRB conducts exams for Group C Posts like Junior Engineer, Senior Section Engineer, and Assistant Loco Pilot etc. RRC conducts the exam for Railway Group D Posts.

Both RRB and RRC under the ministry of Railways have released the notification for more than 1 Lakh vacancies with the Railways. Indian Railways has the requirement of 1,00,000 (1 Lakh) Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments and approx 30,000 vacancies are available with non-technical and Para-medical category. 

The numbers of vacancies are huge so this can be a golden chance for those candidates who want to join Indian Railways. RRC Group D Recruitment Important Date

The online application submission process for different posts will start on different dates. Get the information about important dates associated with the RRC Group D Recruitment 2019 from here.

  • The online registration of application for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) will start from 28th February 2019.
  • Online Application for the post of Para Medical Staff will start from 4th March 2019.
  • Online Application for Ministerial and Isolated Categories will be initiated from 8th March 2019.
  • Online Application for RRC Level-1 Posts will start from 12th March 2019
  • The last date to apply online for the railway posts will be intimated later by the ministry of railways

Application Fee  

The jobs of railways come under the central government of India. Here are the application fee details to apply for the aforementioned jobs.

  • For General/OBC candidates application fee is Rs 500/-. Refundable Fee on appearing in CBT-1 will be Rs. 400/-
  • Application Fee for  SC/ST/Female/PWD/Ex-Serviceman is Rs 250/-. On appearing in CBT-1 Rs. 250/- will be refunded.

Eligibility Criteria for RRC Group D Recruitment 2019

Age: Candidates with the age of more than 18 years and less than 33 years can apply for the posts that come under RRC Group D recruitment. Candidates from reserved category will get the relaxation in the upper age limit. 

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed 10th and 12th plus ITI/ Apprentice/ Diploma in relevant field can apply for the RRC Group D vacancies.

Selection Process for RRC Group D Recruitment 2019

To get selected for the posts under RRC Group D Recruitment 2019, interested candidates will have to appear in computer-based test (CBT). In CBT total 100 multiple choice questions will be asked. These questions will be based on Mathematics, General Intelligence, General Science and General Awareness. 25 questions will be asked from each topic.

After the written test the pass candidates will be called for the physical efficiency test and after that, the document verification will be processed. Once all three processes get completed, the candidate will undergo the medical examination and if everything is fine then the candidate gets selected for the railway job.
