The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the result 2020 of class 12 on 13th July. More than 12 lakh students have appeared for the exam and a girl from Lucknow named Divyanshi Jain has topped the exam. She scored 600 marks out of the total 600 marks scoring 100%. She has attended all the exams except geography which was cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

The young child has attributed her successful result to her parents and teacher. She is the daughter of a businessman and a homemaker mother. She said her teachers have guided her throughout her journey and her parents have helped her in maintaining a strict routine.

The girl from Lucknow who topped the exams scoring 100% has expressed her happiness and said that the result she achieved was unbelievable. The principal of her school in Lucknow was also amazed at her result. They said that they were expecting her to top the exams but her marks were beyond their expectations.

How to check the CBSE board class 12 result?    

The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared the results of class 12 exams on the 13th of July on their official website.

  • Students can enter their roll number or their admit card number from their hall ticket and check their result.
  • Step 1: Open Google on desktop/phone.
  • Step 2: Type CBSE board exam in the search bar and open the official website of CBSE.
  • Step 3: The website requests the students to enter their credentials like their roll number and date of birth.
  • Step 4: After entering the required details enter check exam result following which the result will be flashed on the screen.
  • Since there was huge traffic on the official website of the CBSE the website was brought down.
  • However the board has made arrangements for students to check their result through IVRS (Interactive Voice Respond System). Students have to dial the following numbers

Students need to enter their roll number and their date of birth and know their result.

  • Students need to keep their credentials handy before checking their result either on phone or on the CBSE website.
  • Apart from releasing the results on their official website and also through Interactive Voice Response System the Central Board of Secondary Education will be sending school wise results to the respective schools.
  • Owing to the expanse of the usage of technology CBSE is also planning to release the results on various other applications like the Umang app, Digilocker, Digiresults etc.

After checking the result the students are advised to keep a copy of the results for further use.

CBSE Results 2020

Central Board of Secondary Education has released the overall assessment of performance of the students nationwide along with their results. The Board has recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.78 % in class 12 exam 2020.

The city that has highest pass percentage of 97.67% is Trivandrum. This city was followed by Bangalore and Chennai. The city with lowest past percentage is Patna.

According to the board out of the 12 lakh students who appeared for the exam 38,868 scored above 95 percentage whereas nearly 1,50,000 students scored above 90%. The board has also declared that the girls have outperformed the boys by 5.95 %.

Apart from all this the overall pass percentage of class 12 students has increased by about 5 percent compared to the previous year. Keeping in mind the pandemic and COVID crisis the board has decided not to come up with a merit list like it is done every year.

Some of the class 12 board exams have been cancelled due to the rising COVID cases in the country. This is the first time that CBSE board has declared results without conducting few exams. The marks were given after assessing the marks of the internal exams and the practical exams that were conducted for the cancelled subjects.

For students who have appeared for only three subjects, the average of the marks obtained from the best two performing subjects are given to the exams of subjects that have not been conducted. This year the differently-abled and economically backward students have also performed exceptionally well.

The declaration of CBSE Result 2020 for class 12 exams has eased the anxiety of many students who have appeared for the exam. Most of the students were worried about the exams they couldn’t attend. This year marks one of the rarest of the rare decisions of the Central Board of Education’s of completely cancelling exams owing to the rise in cases of the Coronavirus victims.
