Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum age limit to apply for the aforementioned posts is 21 years.
- Maximum age limit for the applicants from the non-reserved category is 37 years.
- For the female and OBC applicants, the upper age limit is 40 years.
- For male and female, both candidates form SC, ST the upper age limit is 42 years.
Educational Qualification
Reporter
- To apply for this post the applicant must be a graduate from a government recognized university.
- Candidate must have DOEACC ‘O’ level certificate.
- The shorthand typing speed of the candidate must be 150 words per minute. In case the department could not find required number of candidates with 150 words PM speed than any candidate can be considered with lesser speed if he/she assures to improve in one year.
Personal Assistant
- Applicant must be a graduate from any government recognized university.
- Applicant’s shorthand speed must be 100 words PM in Hindi.
- Candidate’s typing speed should be 30 words per minute in Hindi and English.
- Candidate must possess DOEACC ‘O’ Level certificate.
Stenographer
- Applicant must be a graduate from government recognized university.
- Applicant’s shorthand speed must be 80 words PM in Hindi.
- Candidate’s typing speed should be 30 words per minute in Hindi and English.
- Candidate must possess DOEACC ‘O’ Level certificate.
Important Dates
- Online Application Submission will start from 23 July 2019
- The last date to apply online for the vacant posts in Bihar Sachivalaya is 12th August 2019.
How to Apply
Bihar Legislative Assembly Secretariat online application submission window is not open yet. Once the window will open the candidates can fill the application form and submit the application fee to apply for the suitable post as per their eligibility. Candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature while applying for the vacancies released by Bihar Sachivalaya.
Application Fee
- Application Fee for SC, ST and Female candidates with Bihar Domicile is Rs. 150/-
- Application fee for the candidates from other categories and other states is Rs. 600/-
Selection Procedure
- Selection for the reporter post will be made based on candidates performance in 3 phases of the selection process. The applicant will have to take the Computer-based exam with MCQs as prelim examination in the first phase. Shortlisted candidates will face the typing exam and then interview.
- For the post of Personal Assistant, the applicant will have to take the Computer-based Prelim exam followed by a typing test to check the typing speed of the candidate.
- Selection on the post of Stenographer will be done on the CBT followed by a typing test. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of merit released by the officials. Candidates with higher marks will be awarded the job they have applied for.
