NDA 2019 Exam Pattern

The aim to conduct the NDA exam is to check the logical and reasoning ability of the candidates. According to NDA exam pattern 2019, the exam is divided into two papers; Mathematics and General Ability.

Here are the basics of NDA exam paper pattern & Marking Scheme.

  • NDA exam is an offline exam and it consists only objective type questions.
  • NDA 2019 exam will be
  • The exam duration of NDA 2019 exam is 2.5 hours for each paper.
  • Total 270 questions will be asked in the NDA 2019 exam, out of 270, 120 questions are from mathematics and 150 are from General Ability Section.
  • The mathematics paper contains 300 marks. Every question is of 2.5 marks.
  • The General ability paper of NDA is further divided into 2 sections; Part A and Part B. Part A consist English and Part B is for General
  • General Ability contains 600 marks. Part A of General Ability contains 50 questions for 200 marks and part B has 100 questions for 400 marks. The worth of each question is 4 marks.
  • NDA exam 2019 has the provision of negative marking. For every wrong answer in Mathematics 0.83 marks get deducted. In General ability’s paper, 33 marks will get deducted for every wrong answer.
  • The General Knowledge part of NDA’s General ability paper has questions from Current Affairs, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, and General Science.
  • SSB interview is the second stage of the NDA Only those candidates who cleared NDA exam can go to the next level of NDA recruitment, SSB Interview.
  • SSB interview is of 900 marks and duration of this interview is 4-5days.

· CHEMISTRY

Preparation and Properties of Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Oxygen & Carbon Di-oxide, Oxidation & Reduction, Carbon – different forms, Symbols, Formulas and simple Chemical Equations, Fertilizers – Natural and Artificial, Elementary ideas about the Structure of Atom, Atomic, Equivalent and Molecular Weights, Valency, etc.

· GENERAL SCIENCE

Basis of Life – Cells, Protoplasms and Tissues, Constituents of food, Balanced Diet, Difference between the living and non-living, Elementary knowledge of human Body and its important organs, Food – Source of Energy for man, Growth and Reproduction in Plants and Animals, The Solar System – Meteors and Comets, Eclipses, etc.

· HISTORY

Freedom Movement in India, Bhoodan, Sarvodaya, National Integration and Welfare State, Basic Teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, A broad survey of Indian History with emphasis on Culture and Civilisation, Elementary knowledge of Five Year Plans of India, Elementary study of Indian Constitution and Administration, Panchayati Raj, Forces shaping the modern world, Renaissance, Exploration and Discovery, War of American Independence, French Revolution, Industrial Revolution and Russian Revolution, Impact of Science and Technology on Society, Concept of one World, etc.

· GEOGRAPHY

Origin of Earth, Weathering – Mechanical and Chemical, Earthquakes and volcanoes, Atmosphere and its composition, Temperature and Atmospheric Pressure, Rocks and their classification, Planetary Winds, cyclones and Anti-cyclones, Humidity, Condensation and Precipitation, Major Natural regions of the World, Important Sea ports, Main items of Imports and Exports of India, Types of Climate, The Earth, its shape and size, Latitudes and Longitudes, Concept of time, International Date Line, Movements of Earth and their effects, Ocean Currents and Tides, Regional Geography of India, Climate, Natural vegetation, Mineral and Power resources, location and distribution of agricultural and industrial activities.

· CURRENT AFFAIRS

In current affairs, all national and international news related to Politics, Personality, Awards, Sports, Cultural etc gets covered.

    • For NDA 2 2019 the age range is from July 2, 2000 to July 2, 2003, that means candidates born not earlier than July 2, 2000 and not later than July 2, 2003 are eligible. Date of birth mentioned on your matriculation certificate should fall in this age range to be eligible to apply.
