NTA will conduct JEE Main for the year 2020 for admissions in undergraduate programmes in various IITs, NITs, and CFTIs/GFTIs. The candidates will be considered eligible for JEE Advanced 2020 based on the All India Rank (AIR) secured by them. The exam dates for January and April 2020 session has been released and candidates must know the dates to not miss submitting their application.

JEE Main 2020 Information Bulletin

Complete details on JEE Main (January) 2020 session can be found in the JEE Main 2020 Brochure released by the NTA. As per the brochure, the JEE Main Paper 1 for BE / B.Tech aspirants will be conducted in two different time slots. The type of questions asked will differ for BE/B.Tech, B. Arch and B. Planning, find the details on the same below.

  • BE/ B.Tech – The candidates have to appear for a CBT which will comprise of three sections, including Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
  • B.Arch – The candidates have two appear for CBT which will include questions on Mathematics and Aptitude. The Drawing sections candidates will be required to draw on drawing sheets so this will be conducted in offline mode.
  • B. Planning – Candidates will face questions on Mathematics, Aptitude and Planning related in the CBT.

Only for B.Arch candidates an offline mode test for drawing section will be conducted and for all other the only mode of exam is Computer-Based Test (CBT).
