The Union Bank may select candidates by conducting online written exam/ group discussion as first stage and Personal interview as second stage.
Online Examination/ Group Discussion:
The first round of the recruitment will be online examination or group discussion as decided by the bank. If the bank conducts online exam it will have a structure that we will discuss in next paragraph.
The written test, if conducted shall consist of 200 multiple choice questions in total of reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English Language and professional knowledge relevant to job. The 200 questions will carrying a total of 200 marks, to be completed in 120 minutes.
The candidates shortlisted in the first stage, are called for interview round.
The personal interview will be for 50 marks and will assess the academic & job knowledge, power of expression, clarity of thought, qualities of leadership, extracurricular activities, hobbies, general demeanor, behavior, communication skills, suitability for the post, etc. of the applicant.
The minimum qualifying marks for the Personal Interview
would be 25 marks (22.5 marks for Reserved Category applicants). The applicants who will not secure minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be disqualified for selection.
The candidates called for the interview will be at the ratio of 3:1 to the number of vacancies. However, Bank is the authority to decide on increasing the said ratio.
