The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has recently released the notification for the recruitment of Social Security Officer/ Manager Grade-II/Superintendent in ESI Corporation.
According to the ESIC Recruitment Notification 2018, the department has total 539 vacancies for the above mentioned posts.
In this notification, ESIC has instructed the candidates, who had applied against the advertisement of 16th Jnauary 2014 to submit a fresh application once again.
These old aspirants need not pay the application fee for their fresh applications. The old candidates who have crossed the age limit to apply for ESIC from since 2014, can also apply for the mentioned posts.
Only those who had applied in 2014 can avail this facility.

Important Dates
October 5, 2018 is the last date to apply for the posts of SSO, Manager, and Superintendent in ESIC.
Application Fee
To apply for the above mentioned posts the interested candidates can submit their application form online. For unreserved category the application fee is Rs. 500/- and for the candidates from reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Ex-servicemen) the application fee is Rs. 250/-.
For the candidates from reserved category and female applications, the application fee shall be refunded after the deduction of bank charges. They will get the refund only if they will appear in the Preliminary Examination.
Candidates can pay the application fee through debit card, credit card or net banking.
Vacancies
As we have mentioned above that ESIC has total 539 vacant posts. Out of these 539 posts, 294 posts are for the unreserved/ general category, for SC candidates 82 posts are reserved, 22 posts are for ST and 141 posts are reserved for OBC candidates.
Apart from these, 49 seats are reserved for Ex-servicemen and 19 other seats are available for the different category of PWD candidates.
Salary
The selected candidate for the posts mentioned under ESIC Recruitment Notification 2018 will get the salary according to the 7th pay commission. The starting salary for the mentioned post will be Rs. 44,900/-. Recruited candidates will also be eligible for other benefits like TA, DA, and HRA.
Eligibility Criteria
Age
To apply for posts of SSO, Manager, and Superintendent in ESIC, the age of candidates must be in between of 21 to 27 years as on 5th October 2018. October 5, 2018 is the cut off date for mentioned vacancies.

Educational Qualification
To apply for the vacant posts in ESIC, the candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university. According to the official notification of ESIC, candidate with graduation degree in commerce, law and management will get the preference.
Candidate should also be having the working knowledge of computers like office suite and database.
How to apply
To apply for ESIC SSO, the candidate should visit the official website of ESIC. Here the candidate need to click on “Click here for Registration” link. From this link, the application submission process will start. By this time, ESIC has not activated the link, we will update you once this will be activated.
Examination
ESIC SSO 2018 examination will be conducted in three phases.
Phase-I
The Preliminary Examination will be conducted in phase–I. Objective type questions will be asked in this exam. Preliminary Exam will have total 100 questions. These questions will be divided as follows.
30 questions from the English language, 35 from reasoning and rest 35 questions from Quantitative Aptitude. Negative marking will also be applicable in this examination. Duration will be 1 hour for this exam.
Phase-II
The main examination of ESIC SSO 2018 will be conducted for 200 marks. Here are the details of the phase-II examination.
30 questions will be from the English Language for 40 marks. Reasoning/ Intelligence will be having 40 questions for 60 marks.
Quantitative Aptitude will be having 40 questions for 60 marks, and General/ Economy/ Financial/ Insurance Awareness will be having 40 questions for 40 marks. Duration of main ESIC SSO exam will be 2 hours.
Phase-III
This phase of the examination will be divided into two parts.
- Computer skills will be checked in the phase–III of ESIC SSO Exam 2018. The question of 50 marks related to MS Powerpoint, MS Word and MS Excel will be asked in this exam. Duration of this exam will be 30 minutes.
- In the second part, the essay and letter writing skills of the candidate will be checked. Total 2 questions will be asked in this exam. Duration of the exam will be 30 minutes.
