Answer 1: Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has taken over charge as the new Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on January 8, 2021. Prior to this, he was serving as the Director General of Police of Maharashtra.

Answer 2: Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, Mumbai attack (26 November 2008) mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba operations commander, was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment by a anti-terrorism court in Pakistan, Lahore in a terror financing case on January 8, 2021.

Answer 3: Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated every year on January 9. This year the day was celebrated under the theme “Contributing to Atma Nirbhar Bharat.”

Answer 4: On 7th January 2021, Justice Hima Kohli sworn in as Telangana High Court’s Chief Justice.
