Answer 1: From 4th July 2020, All India Radio (AIR) FM news channel has started a news programme in Sanskrit Language called ‘Sanskrit Saptahiki’. The first ever news programme will be broadcasted for a duration of 20 minutes.

Answer 2: Made in India Social Media Application “Elyments” was launched by by M. Venkaiah Naidu (Vice President of India) on July 5, 2020.
The app was developed under the inspiration of Spiritual Leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar along with over 1000 IT professionals.

Answer 3: The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) gave approval to human clinical trials to COVID-19 vaccine of Ahmedabad-based Cadila Healthcare Limited’s Zydus Healthcare. It became the 2nd Indigenously developed COVID-19 vaccine that received permission of the DCGI for human clinical trials after COVAXIN of Bharat Biotech.

Answer 4: Delhi Government has announced a mega tree plantation drive/campaign called ‘Paudhe Lagao, Paryavaran Bachao’ which meams ‘Plant Trees, Save Environment’. The campaign is all set to start on 10th July 2020 and continue until 26th July 2020.

Answer 5: ‘Dream Kerala’ project has been announced by the Kerala State Government Cabinet on July 1, 2020, which focuses on the rehabilitation of Non-Resident Indian’s (NRI’s) returning to the state following the loss of job due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Answer 6: The 1990 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Indra Mani Pandey, has been appointed as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland.

Answer 7:  On 1st July the birth India celebrated National Doctor’s Day, which is also the death anniversary of one of the renowned Indian physicians, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. His death anniversary was chosen chosen to be celebrated as National Doctor’s Day in India. The day is organized by Indian Medical Association (IMA) and was first celebrated in the year 1991.

Answer 8: The National Security Law for Hong Kong has been
unanimously passed by The National People’s Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) on 30th June 2020.

Answer 9: Senior Advocate K.K. Venugopal was reappointed as the Attorney General of India by the President of India on June 29, 2020. The current tenure of him was ending on 30th June 2020, which is now extended for one year effective from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

Answer 10: A concession agreement was signed between the Royal Government of Bhutan and Kholongchhu Hydro Energy Limited on June 29, 2020. The Concession Agreement gives the right to Kholongchhu Hydro Energy Limited for operating the Kholongchhu Hydroelectric Project under the jurisdictions of the Bhutanese Government.
