Answer 1: International Yoga Day, since its adoption on 11th December 2014, by the United Nations General Assembly is celebrated every year globally. The proposal to mark 21 June as international yoga day was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech at the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 27, 2014. The yoga day was was celebrated in 2015 with an aim to make people aware about the benefits of yoga and importance of practicing it.

Answer 2: User-friendly Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kit- ‘NavRakshak’ have received the approval if ICMR for mass production and soon they will hit the Indian market.

Answer 3: The United Nations in its Resolution 55/76 designated June 20 to be observed as World Refugee Day to honor refugees worldwide. This decision was announced on December 4, 2000. On June 20, 2001, the world witnessed the first World Refugee Day. This year the day was celebrated under the theme “Every Action Counts”.

Answer 4: On June 19, 2020, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), a Mumbai based Indian Multinational conglomerate company, was valued at USD 150 billion following a share market rise. It also become the first Indian company to be to reach market value of USD 150 billion.

Answer 5: India on June 17, 2020, after securing 184 out of 192 became a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The 2 year term of India will began on January 1, 2020.

Answer 6: Former Indian Football Captain IM Vijayan is recommended by The All India Football Federation for Padmashri, the fourth highest civilian award in India. IM Vijayan has been a wonderful footballer, he has scored 40 goals in more than 79 matches. He was also honored with the Arjuna award in the year 2003.

Answer 7: The Delhi Government has plans to convert the Radha Soami Spiritua Centre into the world’s largest COVID-19 care facility. The centre is equal to 22 football fields, which will hold 200+ halls with 10,000 beds.

Answer 8: The Institute of Management Development in its recently released World Competitive Index has ranked India at 43 position. India was ranked at the same position last year as well. Since 1989, India was holding 41st rank in the World Competitiveness Ranking.

Answer 9: The Indian Energy Exchange launched country’s first online gas trading platform, The Indian Gas Exchange, inaugurated by the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan. The first online gas platform of the nation will act as a subsidiary of Indian Energy Exchange.

Answer 10: The Union Health Ministry has recently approved Remdesivir to be a part of investigational therapy as well as has updated the Clinical Management Protocol of COVID-19 infected people.
