Ans 1. October 31 is celebrated as the World Cities Day every year by the United Nations. It addresses urbanization challenges, promotes global urbanization, works for sustainable urban development while ensuring corporation between nations. This year, the day was celebrated under the Theme: Valuing Our Communities and Cities.

Ans 2. Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, on October 29, 2020 launched the “Green Delhi” mobile app. The app aims to enable the citizens to inform the state government about the pollution causing activities. The app will work as a platform of communication between the people of Delhi and the State government.

Ans 3. Global Himalayan Expedition, an Indian Organization, has won the UN Global Climate Action Award to combat climate change amid coronavirus pandemic.
