Answer 1: It’s for the first time in the history that Germany has admitted that it committed genocide in today’s Namibia during its colonial rule over a century ago. It was between 1904 and 1908, when German colonial settlers mass from Herero and Nama tribes to control their rebel against the colonial rule. Today Germany has recognized it and has promised financial support of more than a billion euros for helping the community projects in Namibia.

Answer 2:  The recent data released by India’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow ranks Singapore at the top with 29%, followed by the US with 23% and Mauritius with 9%.

Answer 4: The 44-year mountaineer Tsang Yin-hung who now holds the world’s fastest ascent of Everest by a woman is from Hong-Kong.
She scaled the summit in a record time of 25 hours and 50 minutes.

Answer 5: ECMO being used in the treatment of Covid-19 stands for Extracorporeal membrane oxygen. This treament has been used bu doctors for critically-ill patients. This is used when oxygen support fails aand no response is received from interventions like mechanical ventilation. ECMO, basically acts as artificial heart and artificial lungs outside the body.

Answer 6: World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is observed every year on May 21. It was in the year 2001, when UNESCO adopted the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity and soon in December 2002, May 21 was declared as the the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development by the UN General Assembly.
