Answer 1: Uttar Pradesh Government on 17 October 2020 launched “Mission Shakti” for the empowerment of women in the state. The scheme aims to decrease crime against women.

Answer 2: The Global hunger index jointly prepared by Welhunger life and Concern Worldwide has ranked India at 94th among 107countries. According to the report, India is under serious category having a score of 27.2.

Answer 3: On October 16, every year World Food Day is observed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. The day is connected to hunger eradication and food security. This day also marks the 75th anniversary of the Food & Agriculture Organization. 

Answer 4: October 15 is celebrated as International Day of Rural Women every year by the United Nations. This years theme was Building Rural Women’s resilience in the wake of COVID-19.

Answer 5: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary is celebrated as World Students Day. The day was celebrated under the theme “Learning for people, prosperity and peace”.

Answer 8: PM Narendra Modi has recently released a commemorative coin of 100 rupees in honour of Vijaya Raje Scindia, also known as Rajmata of Gwalior. The coin was released to observe the birth anniversary of Vijaya Raje Scindia.
