The National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) has released the long-awaited notification for the recruitment of Grade A and B officers. Interested applicants can apply online for a total of 87 vacancies available with NABARD.

Important Dates for NABARD Recruitment 2019
It is important for the interested candidates to make a note of the dates associated with the recruitment for NABARD Grade A and B officers.
- The online registration to apply for NABARD Grade A and B offices has been started from 10 May 2019.
- Applicants can apply till 26th May 2019 for the above mentioned posts.
- NABARD Grade A Officer 2019 – Phase 1 Exam will be conducted on 15 or16 June 2019.
- NABARD Grade B Officer 2019 – Phase 1 Exam will be conducted on 16 June 2019.
The National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development hasn’t released any date for the 2nd phase of the exam for Grade A and B officer recruitment.
Vacancy Details
- NABARD has a total of 79 vacancies for the Grade A Officers. Out of it, 41 vacancies are for general discipline, 7 for Economics, 8 for Land Development, 5 for Animal Husbandry, 3 for Food Technology, 3 for Forestry, 4 for Environmental Engineering, 7 for Finances and 3 for Plantation and Horticulture.
- The Bank has a total of 8 vacant posts for Grade B officers. All these posts are for General discipline.
Eligibility Criteria for Grade A officer in NABARD
Educational Qualification
- To apply for Grade A officer post ion NABARD the applicant must have completed Graduation with 50% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 45%) in aggregate or Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks(SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 45%) in aggregate or Ph.D.
- CA, CS with Bachelor degree are also eligible to apply for the aforementioned posts.
- For different discipline, the applicant will have to get a specialized degree. You can get more information about it from the notification of NABARD Grade A officer.
Age Limit
- To apply for Grade A officer, the applicant’s age should be between 21 and 30 years as on 01-05-2019.
- Applicants from SC/ST, OBC and PWD categories will get the relaxation in the upper age limit to apply for the above mentioned job.
Eligibility Criteria for Grade B officer in NABARD
Educational Qualification
- For Grade ‘B’ officers, NABARD needs graduate applicants. The candidate must have passed the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/ PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate or Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 50%) in aggregate from a recognized university or Ph.D.
Age Limit
- To apply for a Grade B officer, the applicant’s age must be 21 years.
- Applicants from SC/ST, OBC and PWD categories will get the relaxation in the upper age limit to apply for the above mentioned job.
Selection Process
NABARD has comprised the selection process for Grade A and B officers in three stages; Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview.
- An online test will be conducted in the prelim exam. At this stage, the applicant has to give an answer of 200 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying 200 marks.
- The Main exam will have a mix of MCQ and descriptive questions. This exam will also be conducted online.
- Phase 3 will be having a personal interview for 40 marks. Only those applicants can appear in Interview who will qualify the Main examination of NABARD Recruitment.
The Bank also arranges pre-examination training to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates at free of cost. Candidates who desire to avail of the training may apply SEPARATELY to the Chief General Manager, NABARD at any one of the centers. - Basic Pay -: Rs.28150/- p.m.
- Pay-scale -: 28150-1550(4)-34350-1750(7)–46600–EB-1750(4)-53600-2000(1)-55600
- Additional Allowances – Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance.
- Initial Monthly Gross Salary – Rs. 60,000/-.
Salary for NABARD Grade B Officer
- Basic Pay -: Rs. 35150/- p.m.
- Pay-scale -: Rs.35150 – 1750 (9) – 50900 – EB – 1750(2) – 54400 – 2000 (4) – 62400 (16 years)
- Additional Allowances – Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance.
- Initial Monthly Gross Salary – Rs. 73600/-p.m.
