Ans. 1    Vikram was scheduled to land on the moon on 7th September between 1.30 a.m. and 2.30 a.m. (IST) and “Pragyan” was scheduled to roll out of the between 5.30 a.m and 6.30 a.m but ISRO lost the connection at the eleventh hour and Vikram could not have a soft landing on moon.

Ans. 2    Odisha celebrates Naukhai Juhar, a harvest festival and one of the most ancient festivals of Odisha. This festival is celebrated every year on the Panchami tithi of Bhadra month (according on Hindu calendar). This festival is celebrated to welcome newly harvest crop (mainly rice) of the season.

Ans. 14 Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Laureate Professor from Bangladesh was conferred the ‘Lamp of Peace of Saint Francis’ award by the Vatican.

Ans. 15 Rashid Khan, the spinner of Afghanistan has become the caption of Afghanistan’s test Cricket team. He is appointed as the caption at the age of 20 years and 350 days. He is the youngest skipper ever in the history of cricket test match. 

Ans. 16 Rishabh Pant has become the fastest Indian wicket-keeper to claim 50 dismissals in test cricket. He broke the record of M.S. Dhoni by claiming the 50th wicket in his 11th test match.
