Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the notification for the examination of civil judges (Junior Division). The UPPSC has decided to conduct the Provincial Civil Services (Judicial) prelims exams-2018 in December 2018. This exam will be conducted to recruit the eligible candidates for the vacant posts of civil judges.

Important Dates
Interested candidate can apply online to appear in the PCS J 2018 Exam. The submission of the online application has been started from 11 September 2018. 11 October 2018 is the last date to submit the online application. The last date for receipt of examination fee online is 8th October 2018. Exam for PCS (J) will be held on 16th December 2018.
Application Fee
Interested candidate will have to submit the application fee online. Here is the detail of application fee for the candidates.
- Candidates from unreserved category and other backward classes will have to pay Rs. 125/- as their application fee (including online processing fee).
- SC/ST candidates will be charged Rs 65/- for their application submission.
- Handicapped candidates will have to pay only online processing fee of Rs. 25/-.
Vacancies Details
UPPSC has total 610 vacant posts for Civil Judge (PCS J). Here is the detail of the same.
306 posts are available for the general candidates or the candidates from the unreserved category.
164 vacant posts are reserved for OBC candidates.
For SC candidates 128 and for ST candidates 12 posts are reserved.
122 vacant posts are available for female candidates.
12 posts are available for DFF and 24 posts are reserved for the handicapped candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Age
To apply for the post of Civil Judge (PCS J) age of the candidate must be 22 to 35 years on 1 July 2019. SC/ST, OBC and skilled player of U.P. will get the relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit. Few more categories can take this relaxation. Educational Qualification
To apply for the above-mentioned job the candidate must have completed his/her graduation in Law from a recognized university of India.
An advocate enrolled under the provisions of the Advocate Act 1961 or a Barrister of England or Northern Ireland, or a Member Faculty of Advocates in Scotland and is entitled to practice in the Court or Courts subordinate, can also apply for the position of Civil Judge (Junior Division). But to know Hindi in Devnagri script is must in the second case.
