CBSE CTET September 2018 Online Forms Released, Don’t Miss the Last Date

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited applications for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2018. If you want to kick start your career in teaching, check the eligibility and apply online for the same. Teaching is not an easy job, it is the toughest job because you as a teacher will be building and shaping the future of youth of the nation. If teaching is something you are passionate about, and it is more than money for you, you must not miss the last date.

Those who were awaiting CBSE CTET September 2018 notification, should know that it has been up on the official website of the CTET, www.ctet.nic.in. The candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying online. They should also take care not to apply more than one time as this may lead to cancellation of their candidature and may also get them debarred for future exams.

*GST will be charged on the above mentioned fee

CTET 2018 Exam Schedule
Paper-I to be held in morning session (9.30 AM to 12.00 PM) and Paper-II in the evening session (2.00 PM to 4.30 PM). Each paper will be of a duration of 2.30 hours.

Clearing CTET 2018 successfully, you can become a Primary Stage Teacher (I-V) or a Secondary Stage Teacher (VI-VIII). Paper-I is for candidates who intend to become teacher of Primary classes and Paper-II for those who intend to become teacher of Secondary classes. Those who intend to become teacher for both the classes need to appear for both the papers.

Only those candidates are considered as pass who score 60% or above in the exam. The validity of CTET qualifying certificate is 7 years from the date of result declaration.

CTET 2018 Syllabus

Syllabus for Paper-I
1. Child Development and Pedagogy
2. Language I
3. Language II
4. Environmental Studies
5. Mathematics

Both language I and II are to be chosen from the 20 language options given by CTET, these will be the languages in which you want to appear for CTET. should be different from each other and are compulsory.

Syllabus for Paper-II
1. Child Development and Pedagogy
2. Language I
3. Language II
4. Social Studies/Science (For Social Studies or Social Science Teacher)
5. Science and Mathematics (For Mathematics or Science Teacher)

Both the languages and Child Development & Pedagogy are compulsory for all.
Both the Paper-I and Paper-II are of objective type in nature, both include 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 150 marks.
