Question 3: Which country has recently declared all Cryptocurrency transactions as illegal?

People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has stated that all the virtual currency-related business activities are illegal financial activities. It has also stated that all the offenders will be “investigated for criminal liability” in accordance with the law. The People’s Bank of China, has said that trading of Bitcoin and other virtual currencies are increasingly spreading and leading to disrupting economic & financial structure. According to the PBOC, it is also giving rise to fraud, money laundering, illegal fund-raising, pyramid schemes and other such activities.

Eminent women’s rights activist, Indian developmental feminist activist, author, poet and social scientist Kamla Bhasin died at 75. She was best known for her work with Sangat – A Feminist Network and for her poem “Kyunki main ladki hoon, mujhe padhna hai.” She left her her job at the U.N. in the year 2002, to work with Sangat, of which she was a founder member and adviser.

The International Day of Sign Languages is observed every year on September 23 by the UN General Assembly to raise awareness about the importance of sign language. The day is observed every year. This year the day was celebrated under the theme “We Sign For Human Rights.” With the objective of raising awareness on the importance of sign language in full realisation of human rights of deaf people, the day is celebrated every year.

Question 6: UPSC recently has allowed unmarried women to apply for which exam?

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has allowed unmarried women to apply for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Exam. The exam is scheduled for November 14, 2021. Physical standards and the vacancy details for women candidates will be announced after it is released by the Ministry of Defence. The application window for women candidates will be open from September 24 to October 8 (till 6 pm).

Question 6: Who has topped the Civil Services Exam 2020?

Shubham Kumar from Bihar has topped the exam. He has graduated in B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from IIT Bombay. This is his third attempt at civil services exam. Shubham has also cracked the civil services exam in 2019 with Anthropology as an optional subject and obtained 290th rank. He also attempted the exam in 2018, when he was not able to crack it. He had worked as a researcher in the USA but left his job to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services.

Question 6: How many million dollars have been announced by the US in humanitarian aid for Rohingya refugees?

On September 22, 2021, US announced an additional $180 million as humanitarian aid to help over 700,000 Rohingya refugees from Myanmar. As per a Press Release, the US State Department spokesperson Ned Price stated that the US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield has announced the additional humanitarian assistance for those affected by the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh, Myanmar and elsewhere in the region.

Question 7: UN has released emergency funds to prevent collapsing healthcare system of which country?

UN has released 45 million Dollar in emergency funds to prevent Afghanistan’s healthcare system from collapsing. Country’s healthcare system was forced into crisis after Taliban sweep in the country, complicating aid deliveries and leaving health facilities understaffed.
