Ans.1     UGC has approved a new scheme named as ‘Scheme for Trans-disciplinary Research for India’s Developing Economy’ (STRIDE) to boost research culture in India.

Ans.2     One Nation One Ration Card will be implemented in the country from July 1, 2020. The scheme will let the poor to get subsidized rice and grains from any ration shop in the country.

Ans.3     The aim of ‘Jal Sakti Abiyan’ is water conservation and water security in 1592 stressed blocks in 256 districts.

Ans.4     India has pledged to contribute USD 5 million in 2019 to the UN Palestine refugee agency.

Ans.5     Nagaland government has decided to prepare the National Citizen Register following the same process as the Assam Government.
