As per the circular published by the IB department, it is inviting the applications from interested candidates for the posts of an assistant security officer (ASO), assistant central intelligence officer (ACIO), junior intelligence officer, senior research officer and other. IB department has a total of 318 vacancies for different posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Different eligibility criteria have been set for different posts. Here is the detail of same.

For Deputy Director/Tech: Bachelor Degree in Engineering [B.E or B.Tech or B.Sc(Engg in the fields of Electronics or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Telecommunications along with twelve years’ experience in research and development or manufacture or application in the area of telecommunication equipment or computer or telecommunication network is desired skills to apply for the post of Deputy Director/Tech.

For Senior Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university along with scoring passing marks in Subordinate Accounts Service examination or other Officer Grade examination conducted by the Central Government.

For Senior Research Officer: Master’s degree in Economics/Statistics/Business Administration/Management or Commerce from a recognized University or equivalent and) Five years experience in Macro-Economic Analysis.

For Security Officer (Technical): Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.

For Deputy Central Intelligence Officer: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.E or B.Tech or B.Sc (Engg)) in the fields of Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Telecommunications along with rich experience.

For Deputy Central Intelligence Officer: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.E or B.Tech or B.Sc(Engg)) awarded by a recognized University in the fields of Electronics or Electronics and Communication or in others.

For Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-l: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent and  2 years’ experience in security or intelligence work.

For Assistant Security Officer (Technical): Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or BSc in Physics or Chemistry from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.  And  2 years practical/field experience in detection and disposal of explosive devices.

For Assistant Security Officer: Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. And 2 years practical/field experience in detection and disposal of explosive devices.

For Research Assistant: Master’s degree in Economics/Statistics/Business Administration/Management or Commerce from a recognized University or equivalent. And Two years’ experience in Economic Investigation/Research work.

For Accountant: Obtaining passing marks in Subordinate Accounts Service or equivalent examination conducted by the organized Accounts department of the Central Government.

For Junior Intelligence Officer-ll/Tech: Higher Secondary (12th) with Mathematics and Physics with two years Industrial Training Course from a recognized Institute.
