Ans.7 Russia launched a rocket carrying life-sized robot to the International Space Station (ISS) from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The robot named Fedor (Experimental Demonstration Object Research) or Skybot F-850 , is the first ever sent into space by Russia.
This Skybot was developed collaboratively by Russia’s Androidnaya Technika company and Foundation for Advanced Research Projects on behalf of the Russian state.
Ans.8 The first-ever International Day for Victims of Acts of Violence on Religion or Beliefs is observed on 22nd August 2019. This day is the occasion to honor the victims and survivors of this heinous act.
Ans.9 The Asia Pacific Group (APG) of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has placed Pakistan in the Enhanced Expedited Follow Up List (Black List) for failure to meet its standards. APG of FATF found that Pakistan was non-compliant on 32 of the 40 compliance parameters of terror financing and money laundering.
