CSIR – Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB) Recruitment 2020

The Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB) recently released a job notification on various posts for Temporary Research Project. The positions are purely on a temporarily basis. They might be extendable depending upon the project duration. The total number of vacancies announced by CSIR-IGIB is 11. Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria

CSIR- IGBI has announced 11 posts for Temporary Research Project. The tenure of the project might be extendable which totally depends on the project duration. Read below the required qualification and other details of the same.

Field Data Collector – 01

• The maximum age of candidates should be 30 years as on 30 April 2020.
• Candidates should have a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Medical Lab Technology.
• The post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 31^st March 2021.
• Having experience in the diagnostic laboratory, sample collection, fieldwork, data entry would be plus but not mandatory.

Lab Technician – 01

Applicants maximum age should be 30 years as on 30 April 2020.

• Candidates should have done diploma in Clinical Biochemistry with three years of experience on the same or having B.Sc. degree from a recognized University/Institute.
• This post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 31^st March 2021.
• Applicants having experience in the diagnostic laboratory, sample collection, fieldwork, data entry would be plus but not mandatory.

Post Doctoral Fellow – 01

• The maximum age of the candidates for this post is 40 years as on 30 April 2020.
• Candidates should have done PhD in Genetics/Bioinformatics/Life Sciences /Allied Sciences from a recognized University/Institute.
• This post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 31^st March 2021.
• Having Experience in Genetics would be plus but not mandatory.

Project Manager – 01

• Applicants age should not be more than 40 years as on 30 April 2020.
• Applicants should have done M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences/Genetics /Allied Sciences from a recognized University/Institute with three years of experience in project management.
• This post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 31^st March 2021.

Project Assistant – 04

• The age of candidates should not be more than 35 years 30 April 2020.
• Candidates should have done B. Tech/M.Sc. in Life sciences/Allied Sciences/Computer sciences from a recognized University/Institute.
• This post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 31^st March 2021.
• Deep interest in working on Genomics Sciences and 55% marks in the clearing examination would be plus.

Data Analyst – 02

• The maximum age of the candidates for this post is 35 years as on 30 April 2020.
• Should have done B. Tech/M.Sc. in Life sciences/Allied Sciences/Computer sciences.
• This post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 31^st March 2021.
• Having Good Programming skills and interest in working on Genomics Sciences and 55% marks in the clearing examination would be plus for this post.

J.R.F (Project) – 01

• Applicants age should not be more than 30 years as on 30 April 2020.
• Should have done M.Sc./B.Tech from a recognized University/Institute with minimum secured 55% marks.
• This post is on a contractual basis, for initial tenure till 6^th February 2021.
• Having relevant experience in Molecular Biology/Microbiology would be plus but not mandatory.

How to Apply

• Candidates can fill the online application form through the link, available in the official website of CISR-IGIB.
• Applicants who are still pursuing M.Sc./B.Tech or any qualification for the above posts on the last date of application will not be considered or accepted.
• CSIR-IGIB will not entertain application with “result awaited” status or after the due date.
• List of shortlisted selected candidates kept in the panel will be put up on CSIR-IGIB website. Panel students will be considered for 1 year. If any PI considers that the panel candidate meets his/her requirement for their project, they will be called; otherwise, a new advertisement will be put up.
• CSIR-IGIB will not give any Travelling/Dearness allowances (TA/DA) to the applicants for interview or tests. Applicants will have an option to give reply in Hindi as well.
• Candidates should have to check all the essential qualifications before applying. In case you are found not to fulfil the essential criteria or that you have provided misleading information, then your application form for the post may be rejected at any stage of selection or after selection by CISR –IGIB.
• If shortlisted, candidates have to keep ready a valid photo ID card, an updated signed C. V. (clearly mentioning Date of Birth, Highest Qualification with percentage, Correspondence Address and Email-ID), Dissertation (if any), PhD thesis (if any) and original certificates/Self-attested photocopies with them for verification.
