Technology has increased at such a speed that we wouldn’t have imagined years ago. With the inauguration of electric engines, came the age of machines which made man slave in the hands of machines.

Communication became more comfortable and easier as humans moved forward with the flow of time. One of the prime efforts of communication was the invention of railways. As railways came and reduced the gap of both speed and time.

These are trains that operate a more and better speed than that the traditional trains. This is a new wave of transport. High-speed trains use the specialized track and integrated systems. As they are called, they are high-speed trains. Those that have speed between 250 and 300 kilometres per hour.

6) E5 series Shinkansen Hayabusa (198.8 mph, Japan)

E5 series Shinkansen Hayabusa 198.8 mph Japan is the fastest high-speed train service in Japan today. This train service on 5th March 2011 and operated by the East Japan railway company. The E5 series train is operated between Tokyo and Aomori. At a speed of 198.8 mph, E5 series a Shinkansen would reach Shin Aomori (distance 444.28 miles) in just 2 hours and 56 minutes.

5) Talgo 350 (217.4 mph, Spain)

Spain’s Talgo 350 high-speed train operated by the state-run railway company. This train can reach a maximum speed of 217.4 mph. The Talgo 350 runs between Madrid and Barcelona.
This train has two driving cars and 12 passengers cars. It is also known as ‘Pato’in Spain named after its duck beak like the noise of the front car.

4) Siemens Velaro E/AVS (103, 217.4 mph, Spain)

Valer E is the Spanish version of Valero E is high speed. Trains developed by Germany engineering company Siemens. In Spain, Velaro trains are named as AVS 103.The Valero operates between Barcelona and Madrid. Valero E runs at a maximum speed of 217.4 mph. Valero E trains can take a passenger from Barcelona to Madrid in just 2 hours and 30 minutes.

3) AVG Italo (223.6 mph, Italy)

AVG Italo is the fastest running train in Europe. This high-speed train has a maximum operating speed of 223.6 mph. But during initial test, in 2007, AVG train set a record speed of 356.6 mph. Alstom builds this multiple unit trains. In 2008 the Italian company Nuovo Transport Viaggiatori (NTV) ordered 25 AVG trains from Alstom for 650 million.

2) Harmony CRH 380 A (236.12 mph, China)

China railways Harmony CRH 380 A is the second fastest operation train service in the world. In Commercial service, this electric, multiple unit trains can achieve a maximum speed of 236.12 mph. But it sets a record of 258.58 mph during initial tests. In October 2010, the China railways put CRH 380 A trains into regular service between Shanghai Nanjing route.

1) China Shanghai Maglev (267.8 mph,  China)

China Shanghai Maglev, with a maximum speed of 267.8 mph, is the fastest train in the world. This service is operative by Shanghai Maglev Transportation Development Corporation Shanghai Magleu runs at Shanghai high-speed magnetic levitation suspension of floating of an object by the magnetic field.
