IT, as they say, is an ocean of opportunities. With the application of computers and technology in communication, the whole world can be revolutionized. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection abbreviated as IBPS is the authority which conducts exams for various posts in government or public sector banks in India. It is for you to choose the post that suits your interest. Here is a list of those Bank jobs which can be applied by an IT guy.
IBPS PO exam
This is an exam for becoming a probationary officer in a nationalized bank. Age limit of the applicant should be 20 to 30 years. The grade pay would be between ₹22000 to ₹25000 a month. Candidates should have a degree in any course from a recognized University by Government of India.
IBPS Clerk Exam
This exam is for the recruitment of clerks in Banks. He or she should be 20 to 28 years of age. The stipend salary would be ₹ 14000 – ₹ 18000 a month. Same minimum educational qualifications as the previous one.
IBPS Regional Rural Banks (RRB) Exam
These exams are for recruiting people who can work in rural areas and help in providing banking facilities to people there. Many posts are there under this head. 3 of which are suitable for an IT guy. First is the post or office assistant which is a post that runs parallel with the post of clerks in urban banks. He should know the local language well and should be of age 18-28 years. Second is the scale 1 officer post. They should have a degree and have to be between the age criteria of 18 – 30 years. The third is the post of an IT officer who should have a work experience of 1 year at least and a degree in computer science or IT.
IBPS Specialist Officer Exam
This exam is for graduates with specific degrees. There are posts like IT officer, Agriculture officer, law officer etc. Hence a great opportunity for the IT professionals.
