Aviation Turbine Fuel Digital Issue and Payment (ATF & DIP), a web-based electronic billing system, has been launched by the Indian Air Force. The system was unveiled in New Delhi by Chief of Air Staff BS Dhanoa.

The web based electronic billing system has been launched to streamline the Aviation Turbine Fuel bill payment system, and is expected to come into effect from 1st of April 2017.

Aviation Turbine Fuel Digital Issue and Payment: Key Facts

  1. The Aviation Turbine Fuel Digital Issue & Payment system has been launched in line with the Digital India programme of the Indian Union Government.
  2. The web-based electronic-billing system has been developed for the swift accounting and quick clearance of the Oil Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) Aviation Fuel bills.
  3. The Indian Air Force aviation fuel management is a big process, as it involves more than 2 lakh transactions per year.
  4. The new e-billing system has been launched with an aim to streamline the Aviation Turbine Fuel bill payment system.

Views:

Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa at the launch of the e-billing system termed it as a breakthrough achievement for the Indian Air Force and praised all the people involved in the making of the project. He also admired the Oil Public Sector Undertakings for their copious support in safeguarding aviation fuel’s robust supply chain management and the commitment they gave.

Special praise was given to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for its initiative and contribution in developing new designs for Rubberised Fuel Tanks and Bulk Petroleum Installation for Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) supplies at the Helipads and Advance Landing Grounds in order to support various contingencies.
