Federal bank is India’s leading bank in private sector. It has released the vacancies for the post of probationary officers and clerks on 14 August 2018.  Interested candidates can apply online for these positions.  http://federalbank.co.in/ is the official portal of Federal Bank.

Federal bank is inviting applications for the mentioned posts from 14 August 2018 to 27 August 2018. The detailed information regarding this requirement is given below. 9 September 2018 is the proposed date for online Aptitude test for officers and clerks.

Federal Bank Clerk’s Recruitment 2018

For the clerk’s position in the Federal bank, the bank has set the following criteria.

Age: Candidate’s age shall not exceed 24 years as on 01.07.2018. Candidates from the SC and ST category will get relaxation in age limit according to rules.

Education: Candidate should be a graduate or post graduate from a recognized university or from any other Institutions established as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 with minimum 60% marks.  The passing out year of the candidate from his highest qualification (either graduation or post graduation) should be either 2016-17 or 2017-18.

Candidate’s study mode should be regular since class 10th to his highest qualification. Candidate’s records in his academics from class 10th to his highest degree should consist and he must have scored minimum 60% marks in all of his academic years from 10th to highest qualification one.

Salary offered: For the post of clerk, Federal Bank is offering the basic pay of 13075 in the scale of pay Rs.11765 – 655/3 – 13730 – 815/3 – 16175 – 980/4 – 20095 – 1145/7 – 28110 – 2120/1 – 30230 -1310/1 – 31540/- (As mentioned in the notification released by the bank)

Nationality and Domicile: For the position of clerk in Federal Bank only Indian citizen from the following states can apply. Here are the names of states; Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Punjab or Tamil Nadu.

Federal Bank Officer’s Recruitment 2018

For the position of probationary officer in a Federal Bank, the bank has set the following criteria.

Age: Candidate’s age shall not exceed 26 years as on 01.07.2018. It means that the candidate should be born after 1 July 1992. Candidates from the SC and ST category will get relaxation in age limit according to rules.

Education: For the post of the bank officer, the candidate should be a post graduate in any stream from a recognized university or any other Institutions established as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 with minimum 60% marks.

Candidate’s study mode should be regular from class 10th to his highest qualification. Candidate’s scored marks in his academics from class 10th to his post-graduation should consist and he must have score minimum 60% marks in all of his academic years from class 10th to his post-graduation.

Salary offered: For the post of officer in Federal Bank presently starting Basic Pay applicable to Officers (in Scale I) is Rs. 23700 in the scale of pay: Rs. 23700 – 980/7 – 30560 – 1145/2 – 32850 – 1310/7 – 42020. (As mentioned in the notification released by the bank)

Fee

To fill the form for the position of clerk, the fee for the candidates from general category is 500 and for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category fee is 250.

If you are applying for the officer’s post and belongs to the general category than you will have to pay Rs. 700 as fee and for SC/ST category the fee is Rs. 500.

Selection Process

The selection process of Federal Bank will have three steps. First one is an online aptitude test, second is a group discussion and the third one is a personal interview.

The bank will conduct an online aptitude test (objective) for both of the positions. For an officer’s post, this test will have 150 questions for 150 marks. Exam duration will be 90 minutes. For every wrong question, .25 marks of candidates will get deducted.

For the clerk’s position, candidates will have to face 90 questions for 90 marks. Exam duration for clerk will be 60 minutes.

 Exam Pattern

For the officer’s post, the exam will be divided according to the below mentioned pattern.

  • Verbal Ability – English Language; containing 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Logical Aptitude-Reasoning; containing 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • Quantitative / Numerical Ability; containing 30 questions for 30 marks.
  • General, Socio-economic& Banking awareness; containing 25 questions for 25 marks.
  • Marketing / Sales Aptitude; containing 20 questions for 20 marks.
  • Digital Banking; containing 15 questions for 15 marks.

For the clerk’s post, the exam will be divided according to the below mentioned pattern.

  • Verbal Ability – English Language; containing 20 questions for 20 marks.
  • Logical Aptitude-Reasoning; containing 20 questions for 20 marks.
  • Quantitative / Numerical Ability; containing 20 questions for 20 marks.
  • General, Socio-economic& Banking awareness; containing 10 questions for 10 marks.
  • Computer awareness; containing 10 questions for 10 marks.
  • Digital Banking; containing 10 questions for 10 marks.
