Answer 1: World Tuberculosis Day is observed on March 24 every year. This year the day was celebrated under the theme “The Clock is Ticking” which highlights the urgency for taking measures against the disease.

Answer 2: Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment aims to launch ‘Poshan Abhiyan’ to help Elderly with ‘nutrition support’. This Abhiyan with support indigent elders not staying in Old Age Homes and are suffering from malnutrition. 

Answer 3: Department of Biotechnology (DBT) is the organization behind cabinet-approved National Biopharma Mission. The objective of the missio is to strengthen emerging biotechnology enterprise across the country.
National Biopharma Mission is entitled as “Industry-Academia Collaborative Mission for Accelerating Discovery Research to Early Development for Biopharmaceuticals – Innovate in India (I3) Empowering biotech entrepreneurs & accelerating inclusive innovation”.

Answer 4: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on March 22, 2021 announced that it has successfully demonstrated its free-space Quantum Communication for the first time in India for a distance of 300 metres.

Answer 5: Indian government may ask auto companies of the country to manufacture vehicles (commercial and passenger) that run on the multiple fuel configuration. The aim behind this is to reduce the use of fossil fuels as well as to cut down the harmful emissions.

Answer 6: Andhra Pradesh government has planned to set up country’s first Government Run Animal Ambulance Network .The state government of AP has taken this decision in order to improve state’s animal husbandry and veterinary sector.

Answer 7: The Ministry of the culture, government of India has honored
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the Gandhi Peace Prize for 2020. He has been conferred with the prize for his contributions towards social, economic and political transformation via Gandhian methods including non-violence.
