The UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board) has issued a small notice on UPTET 2018 online form. It is expected that UPBEB will release the official notification for UPTET 2018 on September 15.  Many candidates wait for the UPTET recruitment to get a chance to become a teacher. UPTET 2018 is a state level test. It is conducted to recruit teachers in Uttar Pradesh for various schools of Primary and Upper Primary level.

UPTET 2018 online forms will be available after September 15 only. The registrations for UPTET exams 2018 will begin from September 17, and candidates can fill the application form till October 3, 2018.  The date for UPTET October 2018 exam has also been finalized. It is expected that the UPTET 2018 exam will be held on October 28, 2018.

• Online Application Starts: 17^th September 2018
• Online Application Ends: 3^rd October 2018
• Editing in Application Ends: 3^rd October 2018
• Online Exam: 28^th October 2018
• Result Declaration: 20^th November 2018

Note: These are the tentative dates. Interested candidates need to check the official website of UPTET regularly. The official notification will release on 15^th September 2018.  After the official notification, only the registration process will start.

Eligibility Criteria for UPTET 2018

UPTET held examination for the teachers of Primary and Upper Primary level. The eligibility criteria are different for both of the levels.

For Primary Level

• Graduation from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the 1^st year of B.Ed. OR
• Passed senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Diploma in Elementary education. OR
• Passed senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.El.Ed. OR
• Passed senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.A./ B.Sc. ED or equivalent.

For Upper Primary Level

• Candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the 1^st year of B.Ed. OR
• Senior Secondary passed with 45% marks and appearing the final year of 4 years Bachelor in elementary education.
• B. Ed passed out candidates can apply for both types of the posts. For detailed information on eligibility criteria, visit the official website of UPBEB. To appear in both exams of primary and post-primary TET, candidates will have to fill two separate application forms.

UPTET Exam Pattern

UPTET will conduct two exams. Candidates for the post of primary teachers can appear for exam I. And for the post-primary teacher, exam II is conducted. Here are the exam patterns for both of the exams.

Exam-I                                     

Duration of the exam I will be 2.5 hours. It has 150 questions of 1 mark each. These questions will be extracted from the following 5 subjects.

Exam-II

Negative marking will not be done in both the exams. To clear the exam, the candidate needs to score at least 60% marks.  Candidates from SC/ST/OBC need to score 55% in order to qualify UPTET 2018.
