The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications from eligible candidates for appointment of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre. Candidates can apply for the vacancies for a particular state and have to opt for a local language as well. The test of knowledge of opted located language will be conducted as a part of the selection process. SBI will be appointing 8904 clerks through this recruitment.

Important Dates for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2019

The application process starts on April 12, 2019.
Candidates can submit the applications on or before May 3, 2019.
The SBI Clerk Prelim Exam 2019 will be held in June 2019.
The SBI Clerk Main Exam 2019 will be held on August 10, 2019.

Application Fee

For General/OBC/EWS candidates the application fee is Rs. 750.
For SC/ST/XS/PWD candidates the fee is Rs. 125.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of on-line test (preliminary and main exam) and test of specified opted local language. Candidates selected in prelims will appear for mains. Those who clear mains will be eligible to appear for test of specified opted local language.

Preliminary Examination

The preliminary exam will be objective type in nature for 100 marks and will be conducted online.
The duration of test would be of 1 hour.
The test will include 3 sections:

The test will include penalty for wrong answers. For every wrong answer, 1/4^th of marks allocated to that question will be deducted.

The SBI Clerk 2019 main exam will online objective type, which will include 4 sections.

Test of opted local language

The test of knowledge of specified local language will be conducted after qualifying the main exam.
The candidates who have studies specified opted local language in 10^th-12^th standard will not be required to undergo the language test.
The candidates who fail in the language test will not be offered the appointment.

Eligibility Criteria

Age

The candidate should not be less than 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01/04/2019.
Age relaxation will be as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university in India.
Candidates with integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate need to ensure that the date of passing is on or before 31/08/2019.
Candidates in the final semester/year of their graduation are eligible to apply for exam, but if selected they have provide proof of having passed the graduation exam on or before 31.08.2019.
