Indian Navy Sailors Entry Matric Recruit (Musician) 02/2019 Batch Recruitment

Indian Navy is accepting online applications from unmarried male candidates for enrollment as sailors for metric recruit (musician) who fulfill the eligibility criteria and conditions regarding the nationality as laid down by the government of India.

• The application process will start from 06.05.2019.
• Last Date to Apply Online is 19.05.2019.
• The Preliminary Screening Board is tentatively to be held from July 6-10, 2019.
• Final Screening Board is tentatively to be held from September 3-6, 2019.
• Admit Cards will be available to download by the end of June 2019.

Eligibility ForIndian Navy Sailors Entry Matric Recruit (Musician)

Age: Candidates should be born between October 1, 1994 to September 30, 2002, here both the dates are inclusive.

Education: Candidates should have passed matriculation exam a board recognized by MHRD, Government of India.

Candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music in wind instruments should have a musical experience certificate from any reputed musical organization or institute.

Candidates should have a certificate of minimum Initial Grade from International Boards like Royal School of Music, London or Trinity College of Music, London. Those who have no certificates will be required to submit certificates of awards/participation at various events.

Musical Ability: Proficiency in aural aptitude for music with accuracy in Tempo, Pitch, and singing. Proficiency in tuning of instruments. Candidates will be required to play one or more instruments, String/Keyboard/Wind instruments or any other instrument of Indian or Foreign origin.

Selection Criteria and Process

• Indian Navy will select candidates based on their performance in Preliminary Screening and Final Screening.
• Preliminary Screening will include two phases
  1. Verification of age, music certificates, educational qualification and assessment of musical ability.
  2. The second stage includes test of physical fitness and initial recruitment medical examination. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify physical fitness test for qualification.
• A merit list of selected candidates will be prepared that will be uploaded in the site, joinindianavy
• The candidates who have been declared permanent medically unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital in previous recruitment should not apply for this recruitment.

• The only mode of application is online. Candidates need to visit the website, www.joinindiannavy.gov.in on or before May 19, 2019.
• Before filling up the application, keep all the required documents/certificates ready for reference.
• Register yourself with your e-mail Id. If you have already registered, login to complete the form.

• Now click on “Apply”
• Crosscheck the details before hitting the “Submit” button.

Examination Centers

• The candidates can choose any of the three centers to appear for exam. The exam centers are Kochi, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam.
• The candidates from Maharashtra can only choose Mumbai as centre.
