ECGC Ltd or the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd is an insurance company completely owned by Government of India. It has its main head office situated in Mumbai. The basic purpose of this company is to help Indian exports with export credit insurance.
It works under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. First, it was called the Export Risks Insurance Corporation ERIC. Later it was renamed to Export Credit and Guarantee Corporation Limited (ECGC).
The role of ECGC is massive in the country’s economy. It provides insurances to exporters against any loss in export of goods. Besides exporters can get better facilities from banks and financial institutions.
It also provides insurances namely overseas investment to Indian companies which invest in Ventures overseas such as loans, advances or equity.
Therefore the investors get protection against payment risks. The organization is also crucial in providing guidance and support in the export-related business.
It makes the information available on different countries along with its own credit ratings. Through ECGC it is easy to get export funds from Banks or financial institutions.

The grade pay for the candidates who successfully crack the exam and the interview will range between ₹ 32795 – ₹ 62315.
The candidates applying should be graduates in any stream with a minimum of 55 percent for Scheduled Tribes and scheduled caste and 60% for others from a government recognized a University or an MBA graduate / Chartered Financial Analyst from a recognized institution.
Any postgraduate student in the field of Economics, Commerce, Mathematics or statistics can also apply.
Only Indian Citizens can apply for this job. The maximum age limit for applying is 30 years, and the minimum is 20 years as on 1st of January 2018.
Though, age relaxation is present for the reserved categories which are 5 years for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe, 3 years for Other Backward Class.
